I didn’t expect to cry during my temple recommend interview. But when President Gregson asked, “Do you have a testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and of His role as your Savior and Redeemer?” the tears came before he even finished the question. That question—it’s everything to me. Because of Him. Because of His love. Because of His mercy, His grace, His redemption, His Atonement—I am made whole again. I find peace in the chaos, joy in the sorrow, and renewal when life feels too heavy. But it wasn’t always that way. Let me take you back five years, to when I began to really doubt.
